Me...me...me!!!

Guess who is going to be first in line for the movie 50 Shades of Grey?

That's right!! I am.

I hope it is going to be showing in Brownwood.

If not, then I have a road trip coming up!

So much has happened in my life. Guess I will take a few minutes soon to record these events so that I won't forget them.

Check back in a few days!

February??? Already!!!

Oh, my, where has January gone? I was determined to do better at posting to my blog but looks like January has slipped away. Actually, I think it ran away! LOL!!!

If this means that better weather is on the way, then I am all for a fast winter! We have had the craziest weather! Last Thursday my car temperature gauge showed 84 and on Sunday we fell to barely above freezing. Today it is supposed to reach the low 60's but by tonight another cold front will hit us and we will be 17 degrees tomorrow night! Brrrrr!

That is perfect cuddling weather...if only I had someone to cuddle! He he he he!!!

Oh, well, that means more time for indoor activities...sewing, reading, being a couch potato and watching movies (I am really good at that!). But, my garage needs cleaning and organizing, so I guess I will be spending parts of my evenings doing that instead of something fun.

An update on my Facebook friend...not much has changed. We are friendly towards each other, but the friendship has suffered a rift that will be hard to stitch back together.

Maybe if I write down some things that I definitely want to accomplish in February, I will have a better chance of getting them done...ya think?

Let's see....I want to:
Finish cleaning and organizing my garage
Paint the back outside walls of my house
Paint the trim around door and air conditioner
Sort closets, both clothes and shoes for garage sale

Wish me luck and I will keep you updated!

Facebook....some days it is the bane of my existence...other days it keeps me connected to friends and family.

I think we should all follow a few simple Facebook etiquette rules and tips and our lives would be so much easier and less drama would abound!

1) If you are mad at someone never post a suggestive status remark that might hurt them.
2) Keep family and friend arguments private.
3) Coat your words with sugar...you  may have to eat them
4) Posting such vindictive and caustic remarks often makes you look like the fool
5) Sometimes you have misunderstood...it isn't always about you.

I will add more on this later, but just know that I am dealing with just such a 'friend' and it saddens me.

New Year...New Life

Aaah, life!

It can be so great one day and such a downer the next.

I can think of all the cliche replies...
without the down there would not be ups
without valleys there would not be hills
he wasn't the right guy for you
if it was meant to be, then it would happen

...but that still doesn't make it easy!

Trying to date and find that one special relationship after 50 is probably one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I sometimes feel like I am barely treading water.

If I had any tips on how to find a guy, get to know him and establish a relationship, I would definitely share. In this world of craziness, we need all the help we can get!

I got the proverbial "Dear Jane" text from a guy I had been dating since April. He was very definite about his wants...no marriage...and so was I...no marriage, but I did want a relationship with someone special. I tried not to push, to give him space...but then his text said that someone had come into his life and he was off the market for now. Sigh....who knows...I thought I did everything right...but I am hoping it was the 3 hour distance between us that made it fail.

Until tomorrow, maybe my world will have a sunnier outlook...and maybe I will have a tip or two on dating in this technology world!

Where is December Going?

Christmas is on the horizon! I am almost ready, but the next few days are going to be a little hectic.

I have so  many things planned, I hope that I can get them all finished. I will post pictures for each day so that any followers...including me...will be able to remember what was happening!

What are you doing to get ready for the holidays?

Do you have any plans to travel or are you staying home?

Ice-Mageddon

Wow! We still have not dug out of the ice that fell Thursday evening! My driveway was so bad this morning that I wondered if I would make it to my car without taking a spill on that slippery stuff!

The metroplex has it even worse than we do here in Central Texas. There are still cars and trucks backed up on the Interstate!

This was my yard 4 days after the ice fell. It may look like snow...but it isn't! It is ice and still not melting!

Stay safe...stay warm!

What's in a Name?

Several friends have asked me how in the world I came up with the name 'Pamazon' for my blog.

A will let you in on a little secret...I am a tall girl...about 5'10" and heels simply add more height to the mix.

As a single woman going out on dates, that height can be a little bit intimidating. I was dating someone about a year ago and he was several inches shorter than I was. One day he made the comment that I was a big girl. I had to correct him and teach him that the correct vernacular was 'tall' girl! LOL!! I added that he made me feel like an Amazon woman when I was standing next to him.

He decided that I needed a nickname. After mulling it over for awhile and remembering the story I told him about my neighbor telling me that I was a "Barbie...a bitch Barbie," he decided that my name should be Pamazon Barbie.

I rather liked it and it stuck.

I hope your Thanksgiving holiday was filled with fun, family and friends! Mine was fantastic! Until later....

Pamazon!
